To have an official hotel for our wedding would be problematic - balancing cost, distance, and luxury would result in trade-offs that we are unprepared to make our guests suffer. However, we recognize that some of you might be unfamiliar with our neighborhood and would like some guidance lest you wind up sleeping in a park.

The Westin San Francisco Airport |
This is a nice reasonably priced hotel located next to the airport that has the customary shuttle service that hotels next to airports seem to have. The vast majority of the grooms family in attendance has chosen to encamp here so there may be good people watching. Pros: Proximity to Airport, Full Service Hotel, Ability to view planes landing on runways 28L and 28R at SFO, Chance encounters with groom's family. Cons: about 20-30 minutes to most wedding venues, Chance encounters with groom's family. |
Mission Inn
5630 Mission Street San Francisco, CA 94112 (415) 584-5020 http://www.sfmissioninn.com/ |
This is very close to our home (a hike of merely one half mile up an annoyingly steep hill will find you bent over out-of-breath in our driveway and for that matter, in the next county). It is also rather inexpensive. It is right on Mission which in our area guarantees prime people watching. Keep in mind while our neighborhood is not especially dangerous, it will likely seem lively and colorful for those that reside in more sedate and less urban settings. This property does have some mixed reviews on trip advisor (Click here for TripAdvisor review) Pros: Free Wi-fi and parking (RV's welcome!). Proximity to Wedding. Low Cost. People Watching. Good Access to public transportation. Cons: Debatable quality |
